Newest Addition

So I have a website that has more of my professional photos and landscapes but decided to create a sort of sub blog page of more of my off work, art ramblings, and images as a bit of inspiration for future projects.  Right now most of the images are old and have been seen many times but in the near future I hope to update a lot of the pictures with new work.  Enjoy :)

Purchase of Normality

For the first time in a long time I felt normal and lively walking around downtown Perth having a day to myself.  Well everyday is a day to myself but this particular day was special. Most of the time I feel like I'm stuck in a rut, imprisoned by my own bad moods caused by lack of reason to get up in the morning.  But I got up and got dressed for the first time on a few days and caught a bus into town.  I was shopping and having a drink and while walking down the street with a purchase in one hand and a mocha in the other I was truly on top of the world.  I had 3 people comment on how much I was smiling and one was a random person in the street.  I had places to go and people to see and just the right amount of time in the day to do everything casually and purposefully. That freedom made me feel human again.  When I caught the train back to Subi for my ride home I held my new earings my new book and my coffee smiling to myself. Going out and making those small purchases made me feel normal.

Garden Relaxation

I was sitting in the garden the other day with my book my tea, camera and note pad.  I was well prepared for just sitting there.  Spring has just started to kick in and the breeze outside was warm.  It was comforting to walk outside and feel like I belonged on a lounge doing nothing while I soaked in some of the suns rays. Most of the time I'm wound up and trying to think of things to keep my occupied but for the time I was sitting there I was happy to just be there.  I had my book in hand but wasn't reading and thoughts in my head but not writing any of them down.  I took one photo to really capture the moment that I'm sure if anyone else saw would think it was something I accidentally took while I was sitting down, but it means something to me.
Looking back at the photo of nothing gives me that tranquil feeling that passed over me while sitting there.  Unfortunately the sun got hot and my face got burnt and I moved back into the shade where the feeling was lost and I continued on with my day anxious and anticipating something, anything, more than nothing.  I'm glad I have those moments every now and then. It keeps me going, keeps me sane.

Unfinished art

So I started this painting yesterday and I can't figure out how to finish it.  I'm torn.  There are a few options and I can't decide between them.
1. Have a Snow fighter circling the at at with wire
2. Just put another at at in and maybe some other small things ( really don't want to do that one to much work)
3. Have Darth Vader being pulled behind it in a little red sled.  (Keeping proportions somewhat intact Darth would be tiny)
What to do...

to Dress for the occasion

I found the website www.modcloth.com on the side of Facebook and decided to have a look.  Going through the large selection of dresses it was nice to find some that I like, Not the weird horrible stuff or cookie cutter designs I find in stores at the moment! These are the main dresses I liked...
A casual "Thursday Dress" to have a nice lunch or dinner out with friends in.

More of a winter dress but I like the neckline.

More of a classic look good for a night out :)

Not so much something I'd wear on a day to day basis but love the classic vintage look.
