It's Happened!

So Finally the day came! After phone calls and tears, panic attacks and stresses I finally got the phone call from my lawyer in Sydney..."It's come through, your visa has been accepted!" I was excited but somehow I think reality hit just as quick.  My life is going to do a back flip in the next few weeks! Of course I'm happy but life is scary and I'm scared.  I've had this feeling before, you know, when you've just graduated and now you have to go out and find a career.  Scary.  Now I have that feeling again. Go out and find what you want to do with your life but in a new country this time.  Scary.  I have until New Years Day off and then the pressure is on.  I do have a friend that's willing to help and she may make the transition easier for me we'll see how this goes. The only way to move on with your life is to live it.  Scary or not it's going to keep moving forward so now i just have to join in and keep up!
My vacation's over :(

Go.Ds.SiO

*Taken by me out of boredom. Weird I know. But look how refreshing it looks.  Ahh!
So one thing led to another and i started to get angry.  Out of nowhere i turned bright red and steam started pouring out my ears, I was screaming and my head burst as I punched the wall and all my frustration and anger flowed out of me like hot lava.  OR .Truth. I boiled but the lid was on and it all got contained so I started crying and stayed quiet so I wouldn't wake anyone up. Hey!  it happens I'm a girl it's allowed every now and then...more often then not with me :( [how awesome is it that i have a boyfriend that puts up with me! :)] Anywho couldn't take it. I left! Just took off.  As soon as the engine of the car started I could feel the pressure starting to ease.  It's like a miracle! 1 min 32 seconds later I'm at the gym avoiding eye contact with the one person there working out at 12:00 AM and head straight for the shower.  (Where there's hot water) Taps on, amazing pressure, step under the spring of the gods and I've totally forgotten what I was so worked up about in the first place ( metaphorically). That's all I needed was a smooth car ride and a hot shower to make all my worries for the moment just disperse down the drain.  I don't know why but somehow these stress relievers work miracles.  You've heard of it before and seen people do it but this one time I could literally feel the angst, anger and frustration melt out of me.  So now i will actually lay back in bed tonight and sleep like a baby rather than toss and turn and get to sleep at 5 and wake up at 7 grumpy and pissed off for the rest of the day.  What a joyous occasion for everyone that has to deal with me tomorrow. haha Miracle! The whole point I'm writing this is for the person who reads this, the next time you feel like you've just about had enough and your about to burst!  GET OUT,     DRIVE Safe,   SHOWER it OFF!  (I add Safe to the driving part cause for the wrong person driving angry can be worse than driving drunk. Take it easy on the roads let the car ride be the stress reliever not that speed and swerving and crazy AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! of it. )                 Go.Ds.SiO!            or            G.D.S.O            try it :)

Streets Of Northbridge, WA
Of course, like most people who have just a received a new toy (iPhone)[that's not even mine] you play with new features and apps.  I forgot my phone on my way to class so TR gave me his new one so i could call him when i was done.  So obviously i took a detour on the way home and took 360 degree photos of the streets of Northbridge and the train station :) Then when I got bored of that I played scrabble and won, yay!

Meth AdDiCt Jesus

So I've been working on illustrator playing with shapes and tools and what not.  Tried to do a drawing of Dave Grohl (winking) and it ended up looking like a Meth addicted homeless Jesus.  I have a lot of work ahead of me... lol.

Art For Sale

The photo that is on Society 6

I went out into the Garden yesterday and was putting the finishing touches on the garden for the beginning of summer when I decided to pick up my camera and take a few photos of the flowers around me.  They are in full bloom and look gorgeous.  I put one of the prints up on the "Society 6" web page and yet again they chose it for the store.  It's the third print of mine they've chosen and I'm pretty happy with that.  If you like the images they are for sale and it's all very good quality.  I know I've ordered prints from them myself!

Taking a Shot

I got to try out Archery for the first time today.  When we got there we received some basic techniques and training then without hesitation handed a bow.  I was pretty excited about it and the experience really did live up to my expectations.  It was nothing fancy but it's pretty cool to hold the bow and arrow in your hands and improve with every shot.  Yes I got some pretty nasty looking bruises on my arm but I was warned and I had a pretty good time trying something new! I would recommend you try it out some time!

Newest Addition

So I have a website that has more of my professional photos and landscapes but decided to create a sort of sub blog page of more of my off work, art ramblings, and images as a bit of inspiration for future projects.  Right now most of the images are old and have been seen many times but in the near future I hope to update a lot of the pictures with new work.  Enjoy :)

Purchase of Normality

For the first time in a long time I felt normal and lively walking around downtown Perth having a day to myself.  Well everyday is a day to myself but this particular day was special. Most of the time I feel like I'm stuck in a rut, imprisoned by my own bad moods caused by lack of reason to get up in the morning.  But I got up and got dressed for the first time on a few days and caught a bus into town.  I was shopping and having a drink and while walking down the street with a purchase in one hand and a mocha in the other I was truly on top of the world.  I had 3 people comment on how much I was smiling and one was a random person in the street.  I had places to go and people to see and just the right amount of time in the day to do everything casually and purposefully. That freedom made me feel human again.  When I caught the train back to Subi for my ride home I held my new earings my new book and my coffee smiling to myself. Going out and making those small purchases made me feel normal.

Garden Relaxation

I was sitting in the garden the other day with my book my tea, camera and note pad.  I was well prepared for just sitting there.  Spring has just started to kick in and the breeze outside was warm.  It was comforting to walk outside and feel like I belonged on a lounge doing nothing while I soaked in some of the suns rays. Most of the time I'm wound up and trying to think of things to keep my occupied but for the time I was sitting there I was happy to just be there.  I had my book in hand but wasn't reading and thoughts in my head but not writing any of them down.  I took one photo to really capture the moment that I'm sure if anyone else saw would think it was something I accidentally took while I was sitting down, but it means something to me.
Looking back at the photo of nothing gives me that tranquil feeling that passed over me while sitting there.  Unfortunately the sun got hot and my face got burnt and I moved back into the shade where the feeling was lost and I continued on with my day anxious and anticipating something, anything, more than nothing.  I'm glad I have those moments every now and then. It keeps me going, keeps me sane.

Unfinished art

So I started this painting yesterday and I can't figure out how to finish it.  I'm torn.  There are a few options and I can't decide between them.
1. Have a Snow fighter circling the at at with wire
2. Just put another at at in and maybe some other small things ( really don't want to do that one to much work)
3. Have Darth Vader being pulled behind it in a little red sled.  (Keeping proportions somewhat intact Darth would be tiny)
What to do...

to Dress for the occasion

I found the website www.modcloth.com on the side of Facebook and decided to have a look.  Going through the large selection of dresses it was nice to find some that I like, Not the weird horrible stuff or cookie cutter designs I find in stores at the moment! These are the main dresses I liked...
A casual "Thursday Dress" to have a nice lunch or dinner out with friends in.

More of a winter dress but I like the neckline.

More of a classic look good for a night out :)

Not so much something I'd wear on a day to day basis but love the classic vintage look.

Photo Manipulations

These aren't mine but they definitely inspire me and make me want to create more.  I found them on this website but they do not post the artist from what i saw but you can see for yourself if you choose.  Some of it is pretty amazing work, some of the simplest looking are the most extrodinary.  Love it keep imaging and creating!
Reminds me of DonQuijote.  Don't know if it' suppose to but it has that grand story to it.

Good Idea done well photographed well processed perfectly.

Looks real makes you think... love it.

Simple and Beautiful

Can say so many things about it...

I've seen the series of these in a art magazine...Done so well...the rest of the series are just as amazing.

Seen this one before as well but liked it enough to add it to the collection here.

Painting

Yet another project to waste some time during the days. It was suppose to be a Zebra with Leopard spots stalking Leopards with Zebra stripes.  Didn't turn out this way as the zebra in the corner looks like a giraffe and the leopards look like tigers.   But that WAS the idea behind it...

Now we're Here

Several months have passed since my last blog.  I haven't felt as though I needed this to fill my time anymore, but it seems I've gone back to my too many hours in a day rut.
I got a gym membership and started working out, and it went well for a while.  But now i don't have the motivation to get out of bed let alone go to the gym.
I had my garden that's been pruned and picked and died.
I spent my days invested in random books from around the house, the Horse whisperer, The Hobbit, Some fiction Anceint History book, Choke, The Twilight series ( I finished all 4 books in a week), I even started reading an old addition of childrens fairy tales. Now I can't find anything that captures my attention enough for me to give it the time of day.
I've started looking for a paper route to get me out of the house.
I've been watching a retouching video trying to update my skills and just get back into what I want to do, but it's not the same as it used to be.
We submitted our application in late December of last year for our DeFacto Visa, and now that it's in, this is all a waiting game and it feels as though I'm failing right now.  I've become impatient.
I want to start living my life again, to work to have a reason to get up in the morning.  I'm trying to stay positive but I'm fininding it hard again couped up trapped. All I can do it wait.
waiting...and waiting....and waiting...
